Materials and Equipment Coordinator – Hesperia, CA
Mission:
The mission of the Materials and Equipment coordinator is ultimately responsible for ensuring that the electricians on the jobsite have all the material they need within arms-reach at the right time to maximize efficiency.
- Review, verify and enter incoming and outgoing orders, materials, and transportation with proper documentation.
- Obtain and evaluate order acknowledgments from suppliers.
- Maintains appropriate inventory of supplies and communicates with appropriate personnel to order replacement product as needed.
- Observe and report any damage to building, property, product, and/or equipment to manager and/or supervisor immediately.
- Check-in all materials for projects verifying quantity and quality.
- Provide assistance with receiving when necessary, investigating mis-shipments and damage issues.
- Review, verify and enter incoming and outgoing orders, materials, and transportation with proper documentation.
- Work with vendors to cost check and research materials.
- Ensure work requirements are completed appropriately, and information is accurate.
- Performs pre-operation safety checklist prior to operation of equipment and post-operation once operation is complete. Requests and/or performs needed maintenance as required.
- Responsible for refueling and preparation of equipment, checks fluid levels, cleans equipment externally and internally, replaces bulbs and provides other general maintenance. Detects and eliminates or minimizes safety hazards.
- May be required to perform or assist with loading, unloading, and stacking finished products and/or materials by hand and/or by raising and lowering lifting devices to meet customer requirements.
- Schedules standard maintenance services for vehicles, as needed, when vehicle inspection reports indicate failure and seeks
Requirements:
- H.S. Diploma or equivalent. Vocational, Technical or Junior College (AA) Degree in related discipline, or a minimum of five years of related work experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Minimum of two years of experience in the electrical construction industry.
- Thorough knowledge of electrical equipment and construction materials.
- Working knowledge of procurement techniques, procedures, policies and accounting.
- Proficiency with MS Office programs.
