70th Seaside Celebration – Kayak & Hike Excursion
About the Excursion:
ENJOY THE BEAUTY OF THE BAY!
Come explore magical Morro Bay by kayak and the outer sand dunes on foot with Central Coast Outdoors. After launching from our docks in the morning, our exact kayaking route may vary depending on tides and recent wildlife activity on the bay, but includes possible visits to a harbor seal haul out area, a heron rookery, and an oyster farm as well as chances to see otters. As mid day approaches, we’ll beach our kayaks on a secluded part of the outer sand dunes where a delicious gourmet picnic lunch awaits us. After lunch, you can simply enjoy the bay side of the dunes or opt for a hike with your guide over the top of the dunes to the ocean. On the hike you’ll pass a hidden Chumash shell hidden along the way and enjoy stunning ocean views up and down miles of isolated beach before returning to the kayaks. The short paddle back across Morro Bay to the docks rounds out this highly rewarding kayak and hike tour. This trip is an excellent choice for paddlers of all levels, including beginners.
